Iowa lottery winners seek low profile

-

A group of 20 workers at a Quaker Oats plant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, claimed a $241 million Powerball jackpot, sporting red T-shirts and smiling for news cameras. Then, they demanded privacy.

They announced they would be going to court to seek an injunction to prohibit the release of their last names.

The lottery, along with Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller, believes the names should be made public. The agency agreed to give the group 10 business days to seek an injunction.

Lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer said the prize would amount to about $5.6 million each after taxes if the group takes lump-sum cash.
