Race too close to call

-

Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed said about 1.2 million ballots remained to be counted in the state, where the race for governor had not yet been determined.

Reed said that’s about half the expected total.

Reed told KING-TV more results due from counties Wednesday afternoon would likely show trends in the tight race for governor and other close races.

He said the outcome of the governor’s race between Democrat Jay Inslee and Republican Rob McKenna should be clear by Friday “unless it’s a real nail-biter.”
