SYMANTEC FIRES ITS CEO

Symantec CEO Steve Bennett is out of his job after the company fired him Thursday. No reason was given, but the security software company said the move was not related to any specific event or impropriety. Director Michael Brown was named temporary CEO. Symantec’s stock fell 6.5% to $19.54 in afterhours trading.
