Forget Brad and Angelina. The biggest buzz this year over a possible celeb wedding concerns a pig and a frog.

Miss Piggy and Kermit appear to hit the altar in Muppets Most

Wanted, opening today. Speculation about the union soared after pictures hit the Internet last month of a radiant Miss Piggy in a Vivienne Westwood wedding dress. Newly released pictures show Kermit in a morning suit.

A few day’s before the film opens, the couple happily discuss (with the help of puppeteers Eric Jacobson and Steve Whitmire) Only a Vivienne Westwood dress would do for Miss Piggy. the fuss over the wedding talk:

“We are the ultimate love story,” Miss Piggy says.

“And we’ve outlasted everyone in Hollywood,’’ Kermit adds.

The two have had their ups and downs in a relationship that has lasted nearly 40 years, through TV’s The Muppet Show and eight Muppet movies.

There have also been close marital calls. In 1984’s The Muppets Take Manhattan, the couple were supposed to perform a wedding onstage, and Miss Piggy switched out the actor playing the vicar for a real vicar.

“There is actually some debate about whether they are actually really married after that,” says

Most Wanted director and screenwriter James Bobin.

The dress. “Vivie (Westwood) made moi the most exquisite dress,” Miss Piggy says. Even if it is made of recycled plastic: “It smelled like milk cartons,” Kermit says. “Very strange.”

The ring. Miss Piggy’s engagement ring — a large, dark stone — might not have been the prettiest choice. “Me being excited, that was acting,” she says. “I think it was charcoal.”

uThe location. The Tower of London setting doesn’t quite draw the crowds who camped out for William and Kate’s wedding across town in 2011. But there are plenty of well-wishers on hand as Miss Piggy rolls up in a classic white Rolls-Royce.

And though the tower might seem to be an unusual venue, “many men might say it’s perfect,” Kermit says. “You’re right near the torture devices.” Does the wedding go off ? “I’m a frog,” Kermit says. “I always have cold flippers. I have no problem with the institution of marriage. I think it’s good for certain folks.”
