Mark Pryor is a moderate Democrat hoping for a third term in a state where President Obama is deeply unpopular. Among other issues, Pryor has been under fire for supporting Obama’s health care law. Republicans have quickly coalesced around Tom Cotton, a freshman congressman who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Outside groups such as the Americans for Prosperity, which is tied to the billionaire Koch brothers, are spending heavily to defeat Pryor.
