DELAWARE City officials are looking to make dog owners happy and find savings in the city’s budget through changes to the dog law which were advanced last week. The amendments to the animal control law were unanimousl­y voted out of both the public works and license and inspection­s committee at a joint meeting and will go for final approval before the full City Council on Thursday. DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA: The editors of The Washington Post’s Book World compiled a list of their favorite summer reads, including GBH, a British crime novel by Ted Lewis and Seveneves, a trip thousands of years into the future helmed by Neal Stephenson.
