LLOYD ON $10 BILL?
The Treasury Department is seeking ideas for a woman to appear on the $10 bill starting in 2020 — and U.S. Soccer has a suggestion: Carli Lloyd and Hope Solo. “How about the best Women’s Player and Goalkeeper in the World” for a $10 bill, as well as a $1 bill, @ussoccer_wnt tweeted to @federalreserve after the U.S. women’s soccer team defeated Japan 5-2 Sunday night to win the World Cup. The tweet was accompanied by images of Lloyd — the midfielder who won the Golden Ball as the tournament’s best player and silver boot as the second-best scorer — and Solo, the goalkeeper who won the Golden Glove award, depicted gazing out from U.S. currency.
