The Queen of Soul will have an audience with the pope. Franklin has joined the artists scheduled to perform for Pope Francis and his congregation Sept. 26 at the Festival of Families in Philadelphia. Others newly announced for the festival include rock band The Fray, comedian Jim Gaffigan and Mark Wahlberg, who will host the event.

The Library of Congress has acquired the personal archives of the comedian’s career. The archive, which was acquired through donations and purchases, includes rarely seen films, home videos, TV recordings and paper documents covering Lewis’ seven-decade career.
