Last season, Tom Brady won his fourth Super Bowl ring to match his hero, Joe Montana, and Pittsburgh Steelers great Terry Bradshaw — the first man to do it. “My greatest fear when I got to a Super Bowl, and you never know if you’re going to get to one, but when you do, I did not want to lose that game,” says the Fox NFL

Sunday analyst, who went undefeated in the Super Bowl. “I did not want to have to bear that burden the rest of my life.” He talked about his life in football in the second edition of this season’s Celeb Pick ’Em.

Do you have a favorite Super Bowl win?

“The first one. They’re not given to you. You dream about it, but there’s nothing to say that. There’s a lot of players that never go. Dan Fouts is a Hall of Famer, as great a player as I’ve ever seen, never got there. Some have gotten there once. So the first one, Super Bowl IX against the Vikings, was the one I remember the most, because it was the first.”

What misconceptions do people have about Pittsburgh?

“The name ‘Pittsburgh’ doesn’t actually give you the image of blooming flowers and beautiful swaying trees and waterfalls, but once you get there it’s really a beautiful city. … And they have a gorgeous baseball stadium, a gorgeous football stadium. I mean the rolling hills in Pennsylvania make it a really pretty setting.”

Who did you enjoy beating the most?

“In our division, our conference, it would’ve been the Raiders. They were always, my entire 14-year career, the Raiders were always good. The Browns popped up and went away, Cincinnati popped up and went away. But the Raiders were always tough, hard to beat. And then, of course, the Cowboys, who were ‘America’s Team’ thing and just a phenomenal football team. Hard to beat. And I loved their quarterback, Roger Staubach.”

Aside from the Steelers, what team would you have wanted to play for?

“The one team I wanted to play for was the New Orleans Saints. I’m from Louisiana, and they spent so much time with me and so much time at my school, Louisiana Tech. And the other team that showed up a lot was Dallas. Outside of that, that was pretty much it.”

Why do you and the rest of Fox NFL Sunday seem to be having so much fun?

“Our leader was David Hill. And David Hill’s approach to television was articulate, smart, personality-driven. He didn’t want X’s and O’s. We are in the entertainment business. My whole objective is I want you to feel good, have fun, put a smile on your face, give me an hour and then turn it over and you get to watch your team play on television.”
