Overtime rewarding

- Steve Gardner @SteveAGardner USA TODAY Sports

Fantasy owners love late comebacks and overtime games, especially when they lead to tons of extra fantasy points. Cleveland Browns quarterback Josh McCown took advantage of a generous Baltimore Ravens defense to post Sunday’s most impressive stat line — completing 36 of 51 passes for 457 yards and two touchdowns, as well as rushing for another score — in leading the Browns to an overtime win.

McCown’s favorite target was on most fantasy league waiver wires just two weeks ago. But after catching eight passes for 139 yards and a TD, tight end Gary Barnidge, 30, is looking like perhaps the position’s best fantasy option this side of Rob Gronkowski. Barnidge, who had never caught more than 13 passes in a season until this year, has 20 receptions for 319 yards over the past three weeks — with a touchdown catch in all three games. JUST AS GOOD AS OT Although his game ended with a loss in regulation, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles threw for 303 yards and four TDs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bortles spread his targets, connecting with Allen Robinson for two scores, Allen Hurns for 116 yards and a touchdown and running back T.J. Yeldon for a score.

On the other side, Bucs running back Doug Martin posted his second consecutive 100-yard rushing game. He scored on a pair of 1-yard runs and caught a 10yard touchdown pass on his way to 158 total yards. BROAD SHOULDERS AWARD For the second consecutive week, Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is the recipient of our honor for the player who single-handedly carried his fantasy team to victory. Freeman has become a model of consistency.

In another overtime game, Freeman ran for 153 yards and caught seven passes for 44 yards. And when he had a fourth-quarter TD catch that was overturned by replay, he simply scored on a 6-yard run two plays later.
