Foles, Jags’ O-line falter

- Chris D’Amico

In honor of Steelers linebacker James Harrison’s bold stance, our weekly award for NFL players and coaches who didn’t even deserve a participation trophy in Week 5.

NICK FOLES

On a day when Aaron Rodgers (two interceptions) seemed almost human and Todd Gurley gave him 159 rushing yards, the Rams quarterback can’t throw four interceptions and think he can win in Green Bay — or anywhere.

JAGUARS OFFENSIVE LINE

It allowed QB Blake Bortles to be sacked six times and opened holes just big enough for the running backs to find 55 yards against a woeful Buccaneers defense.

ROB RYAN

The Saints defensive coordinator was just what Chip Kelly’s offense needed. The Eagles rolled up 519 yards Sunday. And to think Ryan’s troops put on that performance in the town where his dad had assembled one of the best defenses in league history.

MATTHEW STAFFORD

Stafford threw two interceptions before people dug into their popcorn and added a third for good measure. If we had given Stafford a participation trophy, he would just have thrown it to the Cardinals.

CARY WILLIAMS

The Seahawks cornerback was high-fiving teammates when he thought the Bengals had committed offensive pass interference on a key fourth-quarter drive. But the penalty was on Williams. Awkward.
