Feds should get tough on ‘sanctuary cities’

We asked what followers thought about the Senate taking up a bill to punish ‘sanctuary cities’ that protect undocumented immigrants. When citizens break laws, they get punished. Why do illegal immigrants deserve to not follow the rule of law?

@subtledeviancy Cities shouldn’t be able to pick and choose which federal laws they support and which they don’t.

Why take up a bill? Why not just enforce the laws that already exist? The top enforcers are President Obama and the Department of Justice. Why don’t they enforce our laws?

I agree with this bill. There should not be any sanctuary cities in the United States. It is a disgrace.

Defund the cities that do not cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement in carrying out deportations.

While we can all applaud the several states that are cracking down on sanctuary cities, it really is up to the federal government to go after these cities.
