The vague and wishful call for an

elusive, all-encompassing peace deal with Israeli and Palestinian states living side by side in harmony will not stop this cycle of violence (“Kerry plans Mideast meetings,” News, Monday).

Rather, the Palestinian Authority must cast politics aside and immediately stop the vicious incitement. It has been disseminating misinformation that Israel intends to take over the Holy Mount. Instead, there need to be joint calls for peace and calm from both sides.

Young teens do not wield knives or strap on bomb vests because there is no peace accord. They do so because they are actively encouraged by adults full of hate.
