Time travel is now a reality and you get to pick when and where you'd like to go. The options are limitless: Prehistoric safari; building a great world civilization; staking a claim in the Wild West. So where will Americans choose to have the time machine take them? Not too far away and not too far back. 1950s America was the top time travel choice of USA TODAY readers, with 23% choosing a trip back to the era of tall tailfins and taller hairdos.
