When the Senate Republicans
announced they will not even meet with any Supreme Court nominee President Obama names, they told the public they do not intend to do their jobs. This is another example of members of Congress failing to perform the duties for which they were elected. This is why people are so mad at the government.
Have the senators considered that the next president could also be a Democrat, and the Democrats could win back control of the Senate? One has to wonder what their excuse would be then. Obama is president until Jan. 20. This is too long to wait for the seat to be filled. The Senate needs to do its job. If not, I would hope any senators up for re-election this year lose. They do not deserve to serve when they serve only a portion of the American people.
