PATRIOT LEAGUE

- Lila Bromberg

Begins: Tuesday. Final, March 9, 7:30 p.m., CBS Sports Network Where: Higher seed hosts

Overview: The Patriot League regular-season title and most of the tournament’s seedings were decided by the final games of the season Saturday. Bucknell came away with first place for the fifth time in six years by defeating Navy 77-73, making the Bison the team to beat. Lehigh is a close contender; the preseason favorite placed a close second in the league and is on a nine-game winning streak. The Mountain Hawks feature 6-10 junior Tim Kempton, a two-time Patriot League player of the year. Only two others have accomplished that before their senior year. Don’t count out a surprise: Last year’s winner, Lafayette, was the tournament’s No. 4 seed.
