Rihanna swings a ‘Sledgehammer’
Think of words to describe Sia’s bombastic, maximalist brand of pop music, and “sledgehammer” comes to mind. It’s a fitting title for the latest song she wrote for a superstar singer, Rihanna, the latest single from the forthcoming
Star Trek Beyond soundtrack The duo previously collaborated on Rih’s single Diamonds, a song that supposedly sounded so much like Sia’s own music, she thought Rihanna’s vocals were hers. Simiarly, the dark, swooping Sledgehammer has Sia’s fingerprints all over it, cinematic enough to accompany any of Star Trek’s high-drama spaceship chases or final battles.
