Movies and shows to get you in the mood for love

- Kelly Lawler @klawls USA TODAY

Get your dancing shoes, cream wrapping paper and corsages ready, because it’s officially wedding season.

Hollywood is celebrating with the premier last week of Mike and

Dave Need Wedding Dates, the raunchy comedy starring Zac Efron, Adam Devine, Aubrey Plaza and Anna Kendrick. If that doesn’t satisfy your wedding itch (and you know you’ll be going to at least three or four before the end of the summer) try binging some shows and movies that take you to the altar.

1 THE OFFICE (U.S.) This pick may surprise you, but over nine seasons The Office has its fair share of successful and not-so successful weddings. What comes to mind, of course, is Jim and Pam’s romantic — and wet — wedding in Niagra Falls, but don’t forget Phyllis’ or Dwight’s nuptials. Stream The Office on Netflix.

2 SAY YES TO THE DRESS Sometimes, sometimes, you just need to sit on your couch, order pizza, maybe get some wine and watch this show for, like, six hours straight. It is never a bad call. Stream Say Yes to the Dress on Hulu Plus.

3 BRIDESMAIDS With Ghostbusters coming Friday, you would do well to visit the first team-up between Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig and director Paul Feig. We’ve all seen it. We all love it. But it never hurts to see it again. Rent Bridesmaids on Amazon or Google Play.

4 THE BACHELOR No, we’re not talking about the reality TV show but the sweet rom-com about a man who needs to get married in order to come into an inheritance. When things don’t work out with his girlfriend or any of his exes, he places an ad. A little iffy on the gender politics? Sure. Goofy and fun? Absolutely. Buy The Bachelor on Amazon, Google Play or iTunes.

5 MONSOON WEDDING If you’re looking for a little darkness in your wedding com- edy, look no further than this classic, which follows a family reunited for a wedding in Delhi. And as a bonus, the film is directed by Mira Nair, who directed

The Namesake and is directing Lupita Nyong’o in Disney’s upcoming Queen of Katwe. Rent Monsoon Wedding on Amazon or Google Play.
