Don’t split the vote, two major parties are enough
LETTERS LETTERS@USATODAY.COM
The Green Party and the Libertarian
Party are attempting to change the presidential elections in the U.S. from a two-party system into a four party system. If anyone is even considering voting for one of these two parties, kindly look at what is going on in Spain.
The Spaniards had two main parties: Partido Popular (right of center) and Partido Socialista Obrero Español (left of center). A little over a year ago, two new parties gained popularity: Podemos (left of center) and Ciudadanos (right of center). The vote has been divided among these four parties so much that no party has received a full majority of the vote. If you are looking for a choice, you can’t complain of not having one this election year. Hillary Clinton: left-wing, fulltime, professional career politician who has never created one job. And Donald Trump: rightwing, full-time, professional career businessman who has created thousands of jobs. The choice is clear.
You do not need to choose among four parties, just between two.

We asked our followers if they were considering voting for either the Green or Libertarian presidential candidates.
Libertarian because we need more options than what Democrats and Republicans are giving us. @stvngbsn
Yes, Green, because the other people running are terrible. Plus, I think Hillary Clinton doesn’t need my vote to win. @Beastwarking
Ex-governor Gary Johnson is the most honest candidate with executive experience. Tired of partisanship, anger and duopoly. @reidasowden
Americans should be able to hear all candidates side-byside on stage not just the two-party attack ads on TV! @MrKellyEnright
