STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE
(Syndication, 1993-99)
CAST: Avery Brooks, René Auberjonois, Colm Meaney, Cirroc Lofton, Alexander Siddig, Nana Visitor
Set on a space station in the far corners of the galaxy, this was the first Star Trek series produced without creator Gene Roddenberry, who died in 1991. The often dramatic series hinged on widowed officer Benjamin Sisko (Brooks) and his crew and included ties to Next Generation, such as crossover episode “Birthright” and characters Miles O’Brien (Colm Meaney) and Worf (Michael Dorn), who became DS9 regulars.
