CRITIC’S CORNER

DANCING WITH THE STARS ABC, 8 ET/PT Once again, a set of celebrities will consent to be dressed in silly costumes and pushed and pulled around a TV ballroom by professional dancers, all so they can face the most annoying and obnoxious judging panel TV has ever gathered — and that’s saying something. As you may have guessed, the appeal escapes me, but it clearly doesn’t escape the show’s fans or its stars, who this year include Simone Biles, Charo, Chris Kattan, Nancy Kerrigan and Mr. T — who will dance, appropriately enough, to the theme from The

A-Team. If the show merely celebrated amateurism, it would be fine. But it pretends amateurism is the same as professionalism, and surely we’ve all seen where that can lead. SUPERGIRL CW, 8 ET/PT Some superhero singing and dancing is in store for CW viewers Tuesday with a musical crossover episode of The Flash, which is set up by this episode of Su

pergirl. And a guest-star-heavy outing it is as Lois & Clark’s Teri Hatcher joins Hercules’ Kevin Sorbo in the hour. The musical impetus, however, comes from a third guest: Darren Criss, playing The Music Meister.

MAN WITH A PLAN CBS, 8:30 ET/PT

Good guests provide a decent reason to check out Man, as well. They’re Swoosie Kurtz and Stacy Keach, who return as Adam’s parents.
