DAYTON NAMES GRANT MEN’S BASKETBALL COACH

Dayton has hired Anthony Grant as the replacement for Ar

chie Miller, who was hired last week at Indiana. Grant previously coached at Virginia Commonwealth and Alabama. He played at Dayton from 1983 to 1987 and was part of two NCAA tournament teams. Grant has an overall record of 193-110. He was 76-25 in three seasons at VCU with two NCAA tournament appearances before being hired at Alabama in 2009. With the Crimson Tide, he reached one NCAA tournament in six seasons.
