Ivanka Trump could help keep her father in line

Ivanka Trump said Wednesday that she will take the formal White House position of assistant to the president, without pay, but will be subject to federal ethics rules.

Ivanka, what you don’t quite understand is you have no role. Your father created this illusion for you to have a position in the White House and you don’t. This setup allows you to come and go as you please; you have no one in authority to answer to. And being subject to ethics rule is, well, rubbish. Your ethics, your husband’s and your father’s are the worst ever in the White House.

I, for one, am not in favor. You have a well-deserved successful life, but this “role” you are getting has not been earned. This isn’t something most Americans want, and it definitely doesn’t reflect who we are.

Please take a rest, stay with your kids, and get back to work on a new clothing line. Visit China to have their workers fix the line for you, or better yet, have them made in America. But please, stay out of the government. Deby Lackas

Actually, most liberals don’t mind Ivanka. Some even like her. She’s helping the administration adopt modern maternity leave laws. Ramona Rodriguez
