NETFLIX BINGE FRIDAY

It’s a big weekend for new Netflix programming. The service is launching two series — the premiere of Anne With an E (a new version of Anne of Green Gables) and the second season of Master of None — along with four specials: All Hail King Julien: Exiled, Get Me Roger Stone, Mindhorn and Sahara.

ONCE UPON A TIME ABC, SUNDAY, 7 ET/PT

This is the next-to-last Sunday of the fall TV season, which is why you’ll notice a slew of finales. The biggest, at least in terms of time, is Once, which is going out with a three-hour special. The first hour is a prologue to The Final Battle; the next two offer the battle itself. As to whether it’s actually final — ABC announced last night it is renewing Once, so the show will be back to fight again.

NCIS: LOS ANGELES CBS, SUNDAY, 8 ET/PT

Have you ever noticed how often law-enforcement types on TV “go rogue” — or how the success rate of their illegal operations is usually affected by the purity of their motives? (Saving the country? Success. Merely seeking revenge? Failure.) For the LA finale, the rogue is Sam, who is determined to stop his archenemy from targeting his family again. Those motives count as mixed, leaving the prospects for success uncertain.
