Miley Cyrus’ ‘Malibu’
Miley Cyrus is trying something new. The 24-year-old singer re-emerged Thursday to share her comeback single, a love song for her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, called Malibu, on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station. The track, part of her sixth studio album (still-untitled) coming later this year, promises Cyrus’ return to more traditional pop after a crazier phase over the past few years. In an interview with Billboard, she spoke about her process of welcoming her love back into her music. “(People are) going to talk about me if I come out of a restaurant with Liam,” she said. “So why not put the power back in my relationship and say, ‘This is how I feel’?”
