Megyn Kelly gives a platform to a ‘nut job’

Megyn Kelly and NBC are facing blowback for an upcoming TV interview with the controversial radio host Alex Jones.

Anyone who falls for Jones’ inane conspiracy theories is probably one of the “poorly educated” people President Trump loves so much. Allow the whole country to see Jones’ ignorance on display. Walt Stasinski

I actually didn’t know whether I would watch Megyn Kelly on NBC or “60 Minutes.” Kelly made it easy. I won’t watch her again. Jones is a whole new level of sensationalist journalism. He adds nothing to real news. Jones is a known nut job who spews hatred. Kelly and NBC are just giving him a platform. This is just disappointing. William F. Johnston

Jones was the darling of the Republican Party during last year’s election. He started and peddled so many fake news stories about the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton! I spoke to a number of so-called Trump supporters who thought these lies were real. Many were senior citizens, but there was a good percentage of middle-age people who believe everything from “Breitbart,” “Infowars” and “Drudge.” Regardless, it shows many Americans are susceptible to these conspiracy theories. Joshua Galvoni

Best option if you oppose him? Don’t watch. Even though I lean conservative, Jones is a nut job, and I have no interest in watching him. Lisa Launius

Notice how the liberals lose their minds over someone expressing his point of view. As a Republican, it doesn’t bother me. In fact, I like it when racists, conspiracy theorists and liberals speak out. It lets us know exactly where they are. Let people talk about their crazy ideas. As an educated person, I am able to listen to someone, make my judgments, and form my own opinions. Chad Clausen
