11 KILLED, 46 WOUNDED IN GRIM CHICAGO WEEKEND

Shootings over the weekend killed at least 11 people and wounded 46 as another ugly spasm of gun violence beset the nation’s third-largest city.

Among the 57 shooting victims recorded between Friday and Monday morning were a 10-yearold boy and a 58-year-old community activist, according to police reports.

The city is on pace to surpass the 762 murders it tallied last year.

The grim weekend shooting tally comes as Chicago has seen more than 1,100 murders and 6,000 shooting victims since the beginning of 2016. TEXAS COP WHO SHOT INTO CAR, KILLING TEEN, INDICTED

A Dallas County grand jury on Monday indicted former Balch Springs police officer Roy Oliver for murder and aggravated assault in the shooting death of a black teenager in April.

Jordan Edwards, 15, a high school freshman, was in a car with his brother and friends when he was shot in the head by Oliver, who is white, after leaving a party on April 29.

Police had arrived at the scene to investigate an underage drinking complaint when they heard unrelated gunshots and spotted the vehicle leaving. CONN. MAN SKIPS JOB INTERVIEW TO RESCUE VICTIM

Job offers and donations are pouring in for Aaron Tucker, 32, of Bridgeport, Conn., who jumped off a city bus on his way to a job interview in order to aid a car-crash victim.

On Wednesday, Tucker ran to the car, which was spewing smoke, and saw a man covered in blood. As the car started to catch fire, he pulled the man from the vehicle, CBS reported.

People from a nearby car shop used fire extinguishers to put out the fire, and Tucker used a dress shirt he was given at the halfway house where he was staying to keep the man’s head from bleeding, Westport Now reported.

Since Tucker’s deeds have come to light, job offers have flooded in, and a GoFundMe account has raised more than $50,000 for Tucker and his family. ALSO...
