Kellyanne Conway said the criticism of her as a political operative of the White House has been gender-biased and about “how I look or what I wear or how I speak.”

Love her or hate her, the truth is undeniable. She’s good at what she does; she spins the truth for whoever is paying her. Trump supporters believe her reality, and they reject facts to the contrary.

The Democratic Party needs a Kellyanne Conway! Ken Brockington

It is not gender, Kellyanne. I think the same of you as I do of Sean Spicer, which is very little. Feel secure in your womanhood. Loren Symonds

Think about this salient fact: President Trump would have us believe that the likes of Kellyanne Conway, Omarosa Manigault and Sarah Huckabee Sanders are the best examples of contemporary womanhood America has to offer. David Hoeltje

I’m not a fan of Kellyanne, but really, look what she has to work with. I give her credit for getting up in the morning and putting her shoes on the right feet. However, I don’t think it’s her gender that is hurting or helping her. Lisa Parker

Kellyanne, it’s not your gender. It’s the fact that you go on television and lie. Most people don’t care much for liars, male or female.

Gender bias is real. I’ve certainly experienced it as a woman during my career. However, I have a problem with women blaming bias when they’re being criticized due to poor performance. Teresa Banning

Some of the criticism is indeed gender-biased. When it comes to women, it seems they always are treated differently than men. That is regrettable and wrong.

I criticized her clothing choice at the inauguration and made fun of it, and that was wrong. The whole flap about her sitting on the sofa in the Oval Office taking pictures was another example of gender-based criticism.

She deserves tons of criticism, but the gender-biased stuff is simply not necessary. It’s sexist and wrong. Stick with the legit stuff, and there is plenty. Joe Doerger

Our followers shared their thoughts on Kellyanne Conway.

A woman who backs an anti-feminist administration is not a feminist. She is a patriarchal puppet, not a supporter of the movement. @beffanywatkins

I guess feminists advocate feminism only when an issue is in accordance with their ideals and expectations. Very sad indeed. @sheila111274

Criticism of Conway is based on her penchant for lies, distraction and unwavering devotion to President Trump’s ridiculousness. Her gender is a non-issue. @Lampliighter

I think Conway gives women like me a bad name and make progress harder for our gender overall. Do all women feel this way? @immouthymom
