First Team

Senior guard Devonte Graham,

Kansas: With national player of the year Frank Mason gone, Graham has the keys to running this year’s KU squad, which is chasing a 13th consecutive Big 12 championship and aims to avenge back-to-back defeats in the Elite Eight. Senior guard Grayson Allen, Duke:

After a junior season riddled with tripping backlash and injury, expect Allen to be mentally and physically back to the national player of the year form he was at as a sophomore, as the senior looks to leave the Blue Devils the same way his freshman campaign ended — as national champion.

Junior guard-forward Allonzo

Trier, Arizona: After missing the first half of last season dealing with an eligibility issue, a full season should help Trier catapult into the nation’s top tier of players while being the alpha dog for one of Sean Miller’s most Final Fourready teams yet. Freshman forward Michael Porter

Jr., Missouri: As far as one-and-done players go, Porter has talent on par with some of the best in the last decade. But can the 6-10 future NBA lottery pick dig the Tigers out of the SEC dungeon and to the NCAAs? Sophomore forward Miles

Bridges, Michigan State: The 6-7 forward averaged 16.9 points and 8.3 re- bounds per game for the Spartans last season, and his decision to return and put the NBA on hold makes him a frontrunner candidate for national player of the year.

He’ll be the centerpiece to a national title contender that coach Tom Izzo has assembled.

Second Team

Sophomore guard Landry Shamet, Wichita State

Senior guard Joel Berry, North Carolina

Senior forward Bonzie Colson, Notre Dame

Freshman forward Marvin Bagley, Duke Senior center Jock Landale, Saint Mary’s

Third Team

Junior guard Jalen Brunson, Villanova Senior guard Trevon Bluiett, Xavier Junior forward Bennie Boatright Junior forward Ethan Happ, Wisconsin Senior center Angel Delgado, Seton Hall
