92% OF TAXSLAYER CUSTOMERS RECEIVE A REFUND.¹

- Chris Moloney Chief Marketing Officer TaxSlayer, LLC

AUGUSTA, Ga — According to the IRS, taxpayers may see delays in their refunds as they look to make the tax return review process more secure. The new PATH Act requires the IRS to hold tax returns that claim the Earned Income Tax Credit or Additional Child Tax Credit. Taxpayers claiming these credits will likely see their refunds in late February or early March. [https://www. irs.gov/individuals/refund-timing] Instead of waiting weeks for a refund, TaxSlayer customers can now get a portion of that money–up to $1,000 in as little as 48 hours after their tax return is accepted by the IRS. Until recently, a tax refund advance was only offered by the traditional, but much more expensive, brick-andmortar tax companies that required customers to make an appointment and apply in person. Now there’s a shift that represents a revolutionary change to the tax industry, allowing customers to leverage a fully online tax service. “refundNOW is another way TaxSlayer is putting the customer front and center during the tax filing season,” said Seth Babb, Vice President of Consumer Products at TaxSlayer. “Many customers have been experiencing longer delays in getting refunds, so we’ve developed this new product to help address that specific customer need.” With the stresses of tax season, Americans need a fast and easy filing process that guarantees the maximum refund. TaxSlayer was highest rated in customer satisfaction for ease of use, speed of filing, best value, and most trusted. In addition, 92 percent of TaxSlayer customers receive a refund. During tax season, families start talking about how they will spend their tax refund. See page 2 to find out how taxpayers are using their refunds this year.

“For TaxSlayer customers, this is refund time, not tax time.”
