Last Friday, the special investigation into interference in the 2016 presidential election unleashed a stream of 13 indictments of Russians. Special counsel Robert Mueller said they did indeed meddle. In response, President Trump unleased his own tsunami of tweets.

Trump did not directly acknowledge the Russian interference nor did he accept that if it occurred, that promoting his own election was their clear objec- tive. The Russians are likely laughing at Trump’s seeming gullibility and refusal to acknowledge their intensive intervention on his behalf.

Trump apparently continues to conflate charges of Russian meddling with giving credibility to the accusation that he, or his campaign, may have colluded with the Russians. Mr. President, you can accept that the Russians meddled in our election and still maintain that there was no collusion? These are not mutually exclusive assertions. You do not have much credibility left with most Americans. It’s for the best that you work to restore the trust of the people before you need it to get our support in a crisis situation. Amazing that Trump will not sign Russian sanctions. He continues to blame everyone else, and does nothing about the last (and possible future) Russian attack! He sure knows how to look guilty! @hillkf_1951

The writing is on the wall, but those in power responsible for doing something about the Russian interference are the ones who gained power because of it.

This is how corruption works. All I have is my voice and my vote. I will use both to help right a wrong in the upcoming elections. @Sajplayer
