CHINA HIKES IMPORT FEES ON U.S. PORK, APPLES
The government of China’s President Xi Jinping responded to increased steel and aluminum trade tariffs from the Trump administration by hiking import duties on U.S. pork, apples and other goods. China slapped 25% tariffs on U.S. pork and aluminum scrap and a 15% tariff on sparkling wine, steel pipe used by oil and gas companies and a variety of fruits and nuts.
