ALABAMA Tuscaloosa: The city’s only air medical transport service will end operations as the helicopter’s provider opted not to renew the contract.
ALASKA Kodiak: Delays for a ferry caused by mechanical problems and bad weather left 20 Kodiak-bound vehicles stranded in Homer. The ferry was delayed for more than 33 hours.
ARIZONA Flagstaff: The National Weather Service warns that the northern part of the state faces “critical fire weather” this week due to low humidity and strong winds.
ARKANSAS Little Rock: The record number of deaths due to the flu in the state has increased by five to 215. The previous record of 110 deaths was set during the 2014-2015 flu season.
CALIFORNIA Oceanside: Authorities say an off-duty U.S. Border Patrol agent was arrested after police found him asleep in a pickup truck with heroin and an illegal rifle.
Colorado State University unveiled its new campus craft brewery, Ramskeller. The 264-gallon brewing system is the largest housed at any four-year university in the country.

KANSAS Maize: A Navy pilot whose plane was shot down during World War II will be buried next week. Irvin Edmund Rink’s F4F-4 Wildcat went down in the Russell Islands near Guadalcanal in 1943. In 2008, a diver recovered his remains.
KENTUCKY Ashland: Officials say a food preparation worker at a convenience store has been diagnosed with hepatitis A.
LOUISIANA Baton Rouge: Senators have unanimously agreed to require the state’s public schools to display “In God We Trust” in their buildings. Sen. Regina Barrow’s proposal also would require the schools to teach students about the motto.

MICHIGAN Greenville: World War II veteran Ralph Taylor received his high school diploma from Greenville High School at age 90. He graduated from the school in 1945 but was called to serve in the U.S. Navy two days before his commencement ceremony.
MINNESOTA St. Cloud: A man was arrested after an alleged threat that included references to a bomb and City Hall. No explosives were found and authorities say there is no threat to public safety.

NORTH CAROLINA Reidsville: Albaad Holdings, an Israeli-based manufacturer of wet wipes and feminine hygiene products, wants to add 300 jobs by 2022 in Reidsville. Its new facility would produce pads and panty liners and handle some current distribution duties, the state says.
