How long is Rudy Giuliani’s shelf life?

-

LETTERS LETTERS@USATODAY.COM

The unfortunate thing about Rudy Giuliani’s revelations about President Trump reimbursing Michael Cohen for the Stormy Daniels non-disclosure agreement is that Giuliani is probably bowing to the wishes of Trump.

In his arrogance and grandiosity, Trump probably believes that he knows best how to handle his legal issues, and has a deranged supporter like Giuliani willing to do his bidding. The two seem to have cooked up a whopper, which they thought would help Trump. But as in the past, Trump continues to make matters worse for himself and then blames others for the mess he creates.

Trump probably dangled the promise of appointing Giuliani to some high-level position for his help. It begs the question, how long is Giuliani’s shelf life? The underlying problem is that Trump believes that he can lie his away out of any problem, even if he contradicts himself over and over. This just shows the contempt he has for the American people.

I wish the government could prosecute any politician for sending out false or misleading statements as obstruction of justice. Scott Simpson

There is nothing in the Stormy Daniels deal that warrants impeachment. There is nothing in the Russian collusion investigation that hurts Trump. There is nothing wrong with firing FBI Director James Comey. There is plenty wrong with tearing the country apart because Democrats can’t stand losing.

Mike Smith

It would be very satisfying if Trump’s juvenile counterpunching hit him where it hurts and was charged as a crime. John L. Thomas

You can’t get good help these days, and Trump is proving it. Trump making shambles of his own case is one thing, but with Giuliani doing the work for prosecutors, who needs investigations?
