With his lights-out, course-record-tying 62 in the final round, Francesco Molinari won his first PGA Tour title in last weekend’s Quicken Loans National by eight shots and jumped 81 spots to 42nd in the FedExCup. The Tour’s fifth wraparound season consists of 45 events before the FedExCup Playoffs begin. The Tour Championship, Sept. 20-23 in Atlanta, is the Playoffs finale.
