FEMA chief un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion over per­sonal travel, re­port says

Brock Long, the head of the Fed­eral Emer­gency Man­age­ment Agency, is un­der in­ves­ti­ga­tion by the Depart­ment of Home­land Se­cu­rity in­spec­tor gen­eral for pos­si­ble mis­use of gov­ern­ment ve­hi­cles for per­sonal travel, ac­cord­ing to Politico.

Cit­ing three un­named sources, Politico said the watch­dog is look­ing into whether Long “mis­used gov­ern­ment re­sources and per­son­nel” on his week­end com­mutes back home to Hick­ory, North Carolina. Long told re­porters Thurs­day, “I would never in­ten­tion­ally run a pro­gram in­cor­rectly.”
