Kavanaugh should ask for an investigation

Judge Brett Kavanaugh has the right to defend himself and clear his name, the same as Christine Blasey Ford has the right to accuse. All Kavanaugh has to do is ask for an FBI investigation along with subjecting himself to a polygraph — the same as his accuser did —to wipe his slate clean and go on with the process. Instead, his supporters choose to make up a conspiracy theory claiming that this was put up by Democrats to prolong the process of his appointment to the Supreme Court.

His allies are doing him a great injustice. Anyone can deny allegations against them, but proving one’s innocence is the better way to go. I can’t see how this process can move on without properly vetting Kavanaugh, given that his accuser is pushing for and willing to go the step further, and now another has come forward. Kavanaugh’s life will change forever, and if he’s appointed without due process, so will ours!
