No foul play in ac­tivist’s death, Venezue­lan pros­e­cu­tor says

Venezuela’s chief pros­e­cu­tor said Wed­nes­day that a jailed op­po­si­tion ac­tivist killed him­self. The Trump ad­min­is­tra­tion con­demned the govern­ment of Pres­i­dent Nico­las Maduro over the sus­pi­cious death. At­tor­ney Gen­eral Tarek Wil­liam Saab said on state TV that pre­lim­i­nary find­ings ruled out foul play in the death of Fer­nando Al­ban. He cited au­topsy re­sults find­ing no in­juries be­fore those from his fa­tal 10-story fall.
