SO­CIAL SE­CU­RITY CHECKS TO GROW IN 2019 BY 2.8%

So­cial Se­cu­rity re­cip­i­ents and other re­tirees will get a 2.8 per­cent boost in ben­e­fits next year. The cost-of-liv­ing ad­just­ment (COLA) is the high­est in seven years. The aver­age re­tired worker will get about $39 a month more, the agency said, with the es­ti­mated aver­age monthly pay­ment ris­ing to $1,461 a month.
