Judge rejects Bill Cosby’s bid for new trial, sentencing hearing

Bill Cosby’s trial judge has rejected his bid for a new trial or sentencing hearing after “an exhausting review” of post-trial motions.

The ruling Tuesday by Montgomery County (Pa.) Judge Steven O’Neill led Cosby’s lawyers to file an appeal with the state Superior Court. Cosby, 81, is serving a three- to 10-year state prison term after a jury found that he drugged and molested a woman in 2004.
