One railroad worker dies, 2nd seriously hurt in Chicago blast

One railroad worker died Saturday and another was seriously hurt after an explosion near a Chicago station.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office said one of the men was pronounced dead early Saturday afternoon. Both had been hospitalized after the blast, the cause of which was unknown.

The workers were using torches to repair the tracks near the Grayland Station on the city’s northwest side.
