HIGHLIGHT: INDIANA
INDIANA Lafayette: A trip to the Long Center can feel like a step back in time. And your guides on that journey to a bygone era are the Long Center Singing Vendors. They meet you at the entrance, opening the doors with a lilting, “Welcome to the Long Center.” Clad in their classic usher costumes, they help enhance the patron experience at Lafayette’s last remaining movie palace. The vendors are part of a full-on, retro movie-going experience. After they usher you in, the Singing Vendors sell concessions. And then, after a montage of nifty vintage concessions ads, the vendors pull one more trick out of that fez: They sing.
