Falcons (4-6) at Saints (9-1)
Time, TV: 8:20 p.m. ET, NBC
Line: Saints by 13
Falcons’ keys: Atlanta had so much success throwing deep in the last matchup, the Saints benched a starter and traded for CB Eli Apple. It’s crucial that the Falcons try to get favorable matchups far out past the sticks so their talented receivers can make plays. It will take more heavy lifting from WRs Mohamed Sanu and Calvin Ridley to move the offense with a heavyweight fight brewing between WR Julio Jones and Saints CB Marshon Lattimore.
Saints’ keys: Controlling the pace doesn’t necessarily mean the Saints have to run more, though RBs Mark
Ingram and Alvin Kamara are good at it. The Saints have found other ways to own time of possession. Pressuring Falcons QB Matt Ryan also is paramount.
Who wins? The Saints just have too much firepower, too strong a pass rush and too effective a home-field advantage. Saints, 35-24 Game previews provided by USA TODAY Sports Media Group affiliates
