McDaniels might get second look at top NFL job

- Mike Jones

As we enter the final month of the NFL season, the already toasty seats of some head coaches will get a little hotter and teams will begin formulating their plans for the offseason.

As it stands, it appears as many as eight teams could wind up with head coaching openings to fill.

The Browns lead the way as the one team already in need of a head coach af- ter firing Hue Jackson in Week 8. The Jets, Buccaneers, Packers, Bengals and Ravens could join the list. The Cardinals and Broncos also have been mentioned among teams that could make coaching changes. But Arizona just hired Steve Wilks in January, and Vance Joseph’s Broncos have won two in a row, beating the Chargers and Steelers. A strong finish down the stretch of the season could buy Joseph more time.
