AOL TO PAY $5M FINE FOR ADS TARGETING CHILDREN

AOL will pay New York a nearly $5 million fine after the state accused the online company of selling ads that targeted children, the state Attorney General’s Office announced Tuesday. AOL’s parent company, Oath, Inc. agreed to pay the settlement after violating the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
