Donald Trump is ‘draining’ ... his staff

-

FACEBOOK USA TODAY OPINION

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is leaving the post at the end of the month after internal tensions increasingly spilled into public view.

Who knew that “draining the swamp” would mean firing virtually the entire administration of President Donald Trump.

Rick Cooper

I care about strong borders, a strong economy, strong gross domestic product, strong employment numbers, our veterans, fair trade tariffs, etc. I could not care less how many staff changes there are.

Chris Appel

Kelly was there as a military man, with common sense, to prevent Trump from starting a war. Now with no one to stop Trump’s impulsive urges, the country could be in grave danger.

Russell E. Glass

The swamp is trying to tie Trump’s hands. It’s not working. We want him the way he is. A tough fighter getting things done to save the country from the elite. It’s not working.

Send in another chief of staff to stop Trump from doing the job we elected him to do; it won’t work.

Hugh C. Young

Trump promised change. The majority of America wants to see a big change — right at the very top. If the team keeps screwing up, isn’t that a reflection of Trump’s management? What business would keep a manager with this many issues? None.

Bryan Gooden

Guess what? Kelly is out, Trump is still president, the country is still winning, and the left is still whining.

Tom Welsh

Kelly had long been the one who was accustomed to being in command, so this was not a good fit. I’m glad he’s leaving.
