St. George: Students in Washington County with mobility issues will no longer have to watch as their peers play on the playground while they look on from the sidelines, thanks to a fleet of pumper cars. Each elementary school in the district will be equipped with two pumper cars, with the intent of helping mobilityimpaired kids participate in recess and physical education class. The cars were donated by Stephen Wade Auto Center, which teamed with Toyota USA to purchase 58 pumper cars. Douglas Keck, director of development for the cars, says they were designed as toys but found a customer base with physical therapists.
