All-new Lincoln Corsair ready for its debut at New York Auto Show

- Kelly Tyko

The Lincoln Motor Co. announced Wednesday that it will debut the all-new Lincoln Corsair at the 2019 New York International Auto Show in April.

The premium car brand owned by Ford shared a silhouette photo of the SUV, a brief news release and a 17second video that showed the SUV’s silhouette and name and listed April 17 as the Corsair’s global debut.

“With the continued strength of Lincoln’s SUVs – from the record-breaking sales of Navigator, strong customer response to the 2019 Nautilus and the arrival of the all-new Aviator in the summer, the introduction of Corsair will further enhance Lincoln’s lineup,” the company said in the statement.

The Lincoln Aviator, revealed at the Los Angeles show in late 2018, is a midsize luxury SUV that will feature an electric-only driving mode and the most power of any vehicle in the brand’s history when it goes on sale this summer.

It has an optional audio system with 28 speakers and comes with optional seats that can be moved in 30 directions.

Lincoln provided no other details about the Corsair on Wednesday. The New York show is an annual event that serves as a platform for the world’s leading automakers to debut shimmering new models. After two days of media previews, the show will be open to the public April 19-28.
