BOTTLED WATER MAY SOON CONTAIN LESS FLUORIDE
The Food and Drug Administration is proposing to lower the standard concentration level for fluoride in bottled water. The proposed rule, which was released Tuesday, would set the allowable amount of fluoride in bottled water to be 0.7 milligrams per liter. This is a slight reduction from the FDA’s current standard of 0.8 milligrams per liter.
