Julian Assange did Americans a service

-

After seven years of self-imposed exile, Wiki Leaks founder Julian Assange was arrested on Thursday inside the embassy of Ecuador in London.

Publishing classified documents isn’t necessarilly illegal, and Assange isn’t being charged with that. The government’s case that he aided Chelsea Manning in hacking the Department of Defense is weak, and Manning is free now.

Hallelujah! Assange is a treasonous con man and thief. So glad that he was arrested. I’m not sure what will happen, though, because he essentially helped President Donald Trump immensely during the 2016 election. In Trump world, a pardon is likely to happen.

I don’t know about all of the other things he has done, like the sexual assault allegations, but Assange should recieve an award for leaking the Hillary Clinton emails. Mark Turner

Assange is the only human telling us the truth about the terrible things our government does. Sad day in the world when he was arrested. Joey Walker

We need to let our government know that we appreciate the fact that Assange made us aware of its crimes. Ed Would

Assange is just a whistleblower who publishes documents that reveal government wrongdoing through Wiki Leaks, just like any other journaistic entity would do. Larry Stonebridge
